The most recently established colony is located on the desert planet of Lubyanka. It was founded by the Russians and serves as a correctional facility.

Briefly explored during the late 22nd Century, Kapyeyn's Star is located within nebula where many ships have ventured and been lost. As a result, rumors have been spread by spacers who prefer to avoid this region of space.

In 2317 a small research facility was built in the system in an attempt to study the nebula and debunk the urban legends surrounding it.

The planet Elmore located in the Barnard's Star system was the first world capable of supporting human life to be discovered. It was also the first world to be colonised outside of the Sol system in the mid 22nd Century due to the large quantities of Ucasac mineral found across the planet's surface. It was also on this world that the Algae which produce Ucasac were discovered and are now farmed in large numbers to supply the other human settlements and starships with the power they need.

In 2198 a second colony was established on Elmore's moon where the Ucasac mineral is processed and prepared for distribution across the known systems.

The birthplace of Humanity. Manned exploration of the solar system didn't begin until the latter half of the 21st century when overpopulation forced the British and Japanese nations to find alternative living environments. The first offworld colony was established in 2071 on the moon.

It wasn't until the end of the century when the Ucasac was discovered on Titan, that a second colony was established. A third colony was later constructed on Mars and there are plans to begin terriforming the red planet into a world suitable for Ucasac algae farming.

While Luyten 726-8 has no planets to colonise, it's central location amongst the various inhabited sytems makes it the ideal stopping point for stellar traffic. As such the system became known as Crossroads early in the 23rd century.

In 2240 a large asteroid was hollowed out and Crossroads Station was built to accomodate the spacecraft passing through and to serve as a major trading outpost.

There are numerious smaller establishments throughout the system as well, however most of these are privately owned.

Home of the the largest shipyards in explored space, New Devonport is primarily and British colony established in the year 2262 after a survey discovered large quantities of metals on the planet.
